I must start with The service and friendliness of the staff it is superior. Rosa and Maria (and even those I don’t know by name) we’re incredibly helpful and always made us feel right at home. we became quite close and enjoyed sharing our experience with them. also Natalia in reservations helped us find a perfect room. The room was cozy (which is better than small) and the view from our 17th floor room was iconic. Cafe Society while always good simply didn’t offer enough “less fancy” foods for our taste but I’m sure for those that enjoy that it is an excellent eatery. Housekeeping service was excellent. We chose a spruce every other day and that was perfect. And finally location. We always stay in the village and love the neighborhood feel and the location of the Walker hotel fit us like a glove. The closeness of places like Murray’s Bagels, Bar 6, Hollywood Diner and so many more gave us the feel of living in the village as opposed to staying in the village. Our 9 days at the Walker is a trip we will never forget. Highly recommend.

I loved our stay here and would book again. To stay in a wonderful old building in Greenwich Village is pretty perfect for me. I would also give a shout-out to the restaurant for good food (chick pea fries, wow!) and drinks. The leisurely vibe is great and the style of the lobby and its sitting areas is a big allure. The only complaint we had was the temperature of the rooms. It was so hot and stuffy. We had the central fan going on the thermostat and they offered a room fan which we took them up on. Every night we slept with the windows open—that’s how hot it was. So I guess that’s the price of staying in an old building with character. If they could find a way to improve this, it would be golden! But even with that, I would stay again.

The hotel is absolutely charming. When you enter the decor makes you feel like you have traveled back in time to an elegant, early 20th century. It is cozy, inviting, and has a kind of quiet glamor. The staff is absolutely lovely. I was dropping my daughter off for a college summer program and needed some extra help with her bags and items. They helped me with everything and even helped me get her stuff to the school. They were warm and kind and generous and absolutely went above and beyond. It's like they have embraced the meaning of "guest" beyond someone paying to stay there.

The rooms were cozy, and we looked out at the Pratt School's Music Institute. The water pressure was fantastic in our room. It was very quiet despite the air conditioning running 24/7. We had the 2 corner rooms (1205 and 1204) for our family of 4. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They had some sort of minibar credit, which also applied to the Social Lounge. The location was perfect! Super close to Union Square, Fifth Ave, and of course, Greenwich Village.

Location is fantastic for those of us who like being downtown and close to the Village. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. I was always greeted with a smile. I also like that they have a cute cafe and bar off the lobby, it was very easy to have that right on site for late night drinks or breakfast meetings. They also have Happy Hour with live music!
